Book Review: “Retreat” by Krysten Ritter

Liz Dawson is a con artist posing as an art dealer.

Liz is at the end of her time in Chicago as she is deep in debt and people are starting to suspect her alter ego may not be sweet and innocent.

Seizing an opportunity, while awaiting for the owner to arrive in a week or so, to receive and hang an expensive piece of art in a newly purchased home in ritzy Punta Mita, Mexico, Liz arrives and finds herself in her element.

Since she looks remarkably like the owner who has only been there briefly, she poses as Isabelle. She is a con artist after all. 😉

After meeting and hitting it off with the rough and tumble Tilly they both go on a hike in the rugged mountains where Liz’s / Isabelle’s life becomes very very messy.

“Retreat” is a fantastic, fast paced, thriller that is simply….. terrifying. Hold on to your chair (or couch) as you ride a rough and twisty rollercoaster that will set your heart pumping until the shocking ending! Whew…..
