Book Review: “Magic Hour” by Kristin Hannah

Genre: Fiction

Los Angeles Child Psychiatrist Dr. Julia Cates has recently been exonerated in the deaths of several people at the hands of her patient, Amber.

But the shame of possibly missing the clues to Amber’s violent turn, and the harassment by the press and others who believe Julia is responsible, continue to haunt her.

Her reputation has been ruined and her name forever linked with the murders.

In the town Julia grew up in, Rain Valley, near the Olympic National Forest, a girl has been found wandering the streets.

The Chief of Police, Ellie Barton, responded to the emergency call only to find the young, very skinny, girl in a tattered dress, high up in a maple tree.

People say she flew up the tree!

Over the next hour or so, Ellie finds that this young girl cannot talk, howls like a wolf when afraid, has a wolf puppy in her arms, and……

Oh, to find out what happens and how Julia fits in to all this, you can read the book. 🙂

“Magic Hour” is a terrific novel by Kristin Hannah.
