Book Review: “Dark Horse” by Gregg Hurwitz

Genre: Thriller

This is book 7 of 9 in the Orphan X series. The end is nigh….. 😦

6 months after his apartment in LA was destroyed by artificially intelligent drones, Orphan X / The Nowhere Man (Evan Smoak) is finally getting to the end of the repair.

Then…..his RoamZone rings (1-855-2-Nowhere), and he answers…..

Do you need my help?

With Joey’s help, the Nowhere Man is off to help someone, Aragon Urrea, who breaks many of Evan’s commandments, but, since the victim is this drug dealer’s 18 year old daughter, Anjelina, and Evan is having some kind of familial existential crisis (after meeting his birth mother and step brother in the last book)….

The Nowhere Man is on the case.

Murder and mayhem follow, and, sadly, one of the our beloved characters has a crisis of her own, and may not survive….. 😦

To find out what happens, you’ll need to read the book.

“Dark Horse” is book 7 of 9 in the Orphan X series, and Evan has changed as he seems to be trying to figure out life as he never knew it.

That said…..death and destruction follow as The Nowhere Man also appears to be un-teathered from his normal bounds.

Scary, fast, violent, wild……whew!

Call this number: 1-855-2-Nowhere ….it used to work, but, I have not tried in a few years. Lori just called….still works! 🙂
