Book Review: “The 9th Man” by Steve Berry and Grant Blackwood

Genre: Thriller

This is book #1 in the Luke Daniels series.

Luke Daniels knows Cotton Malone since they both serve in the Magellan Billet.

Luke, an ex-Army Ranger, is relaxing in London when he gets a call from an old friend, and ex-Marine, Jillian.

She needs help immediately.

Arriving at her grandfather’s home, Luke finds himself in a firefight with a gang of well armed, and well-trained, thugs. After the dust settles, he learns that Jillian’s grandfather was killed in that attack.

He and Jillian re-connect and join forces to fight whoever the evil is that killed her grandfather.

Little do they know……..

Oh, to find out what happens, and what JFK’s Nov 22, 1963 killing has to do with this….you will have to read the book. 🙂

“The 9th Man” starts out as a sparkling thriller but quickly fades to WAY too many chases and skin-of-your-teeth escapes, and not nearly enough “intrigue”. I skimmed the last 60 or so pages.

But….the ending IS a shocker!

More Steve Berry….
