Book Review: “Blue Fire” by John Gilstrap

Book Review: “Blue Fire” by John Gilstrap

Genre: Thriller

This is an ARC sent to me by the publishers. It is due in “stores” Feb 22, 2022 (2/22/22). 🙂

In the first book (which I have not yet read) a nuclear war has turned the world into a primitive place without electricity, electronics, running water…..and civility.

Many of the roving gangs terrorizing, looting, stealing, and killing, think that only the strong will survive.

In this new world, former Congress person, Victoria Emerson and her two sons, Caleb and Luke, arrived in the small West Virginia town of Ortho to find it, and the people there, floundering like the rest of the world.

Luckily for the residents of Ortho, Victoria’s natural leadership skills (and prepper experience) help her lead by example as she takes charge making Ortho a “great” place to live in in these post apocalyptic times.

With strong militia, new curency (bullets), and a can do attitude the citizens of Ortho are doing as well as can be expected…..when…..

They are attacked by a roving gang…and….

Oh…..to see what happens, you will have to read the book when it comes to stores 2/22/22.

Here is a link where you can pre-order it.

“Blue Fire” is a frightening look at what the world could become after an apocalyptic nuclear war (that lasted only 8 hours).

I last read John Gilstrap in 2009! In my review, I stated that I will definately read more from him.

Now, 13 years later….I did! 🙂

Here a few more authors in addition to Gilstrap….
