“His voice sounded like a dry whisper in her ear. As if it were important no one else heard them.
We’re going to die.“
Detective Harry Hole wakes to a new day.
The love of Harry’s life, his ex-girlfriend Rakel, has a new boyfriend. A Doctor…..and Harry is both happy for her, and somewhat jealous.
It is election day in the U.S.A. and George W. Bush is expected to win re-election. Harry also received a letter that mentions the first snow and more importantly Toowoomba, which raised the level of alarm in his brain…to high.
Last night it snowed for the first time this year.
At work, Harry meets a new person to his group: Katrine Bratt from the Bergen Police Department.
She will be working with Hole.
Later that day, Jonas Becker saw a snowman in his front yard. His dad, Filip, thought it was built by the neighbor kids and his mother came home late.
The next day, Jona’s mother, Birte, disappeared and Harry and Katrine are on the case.
Little do they know how much danger their lives, and the lives of their loved ones, will be in, and how many murders are about to happen……
……all preceded by a Snowman.
“The Snowman” is not Nesbo’s best, but, it is still an enthralling murder mystery that will take everything Harry has in is arsenal to solve…..
……if he survives.
Scary as hell, you will never look at a snowman the same way again. 🙂
Here is a trailer for “The Snowman” starring Michael Fassbender.
