Book Review: “Antihero” by Gregg Hurwitz

Genre: Thriller

On a subway in New York City, Anca is about to seize for the second time today.

She places her laminated card, with the words “Please help me” written on it, around her neck and picks out a woman she thinks can help.

Unfortunately that woman needs to catch a helicopter and can’t stay.

Unprotected and unconscious….Anca is taken by a gang of hoodlums, raped, beaten, drugged, and filmed for a porn site for all to see.

Luckily the woman who could not stay just spent the night at the weird, very rich, but brilliant Luke Devine who dials for help:

1-855-2 NOWHERE (try it! it works)

“Do you need my help”

The Nowhere Man, Orphan X, Evan Smoak is ready to help both Luke and the woman on the subway….if he can find her.

What follows is…..

Oh you will just have to read the book. 🙂

“Antihero” is #11 (I think) in the Orphan X series and for the first time, Evan has promised not to kill anyone and has taken 17 year old Joey on her first mission. What follows is equal parts mayhem and nostalgia.

Loved it!

More Hurwitz….
